I have not been feeling well for the last couple of days. I pain in the general stomach area. Not anything very painful, more a constant annoyance. And wouldn't you know it the day I decided that I would go to the Dr even if I didn't feel any worse, all the symptoms seem to be gone. Of course yesterday morning I also felt fine, but after groceries and removing paint strips from the bathroom ceiling I wasn't feeling so well again. If it returns I will go, just to find out if there is a problem. I really don't like going to the Dr. It isn't actually their fault, more the waiting well beyond your apt time. Here they don't even have apt times, and their is a large Dr turnover. So because my Dr has left I would be a new patient. And they have to be taking new patients, you can't just go to any Drs office. I like to see if I can heal myself before going. Most of the time they are just going to tell you what you know already. Rest and plenty of fluids. Occasionally they will prescribe something. If there is actually something serious you will wait to see the Dr, be sent to the hospital for tests, where you will have to wait for those to be done, and then wait for the results, which are most likely forwarded to the Dr rather then to you. So anything serious I would rather just go to the hospitals emergency department. You probably still have to wait several hours, but it gets all dealt with there.
Of course the days I was not well also happened to be the nice warmer days (3C) where I could go around with just a jacket and not a coat. Today it is grey, gloomy and there was more snow last night. I think I will concentrate on my EI application and taxes, maybe even go to the library and pick up some books on gardening. The weekend is soon enough to finish the bathroom project. Today I can rest a bit more just to make sure I am well.
We are supposed to have some people over tomorrow for supper. Hopefully my body has healed whatever strain or illness befell it.
