  • Goodbye tree.

When I came home from shopping yesterday there was a work crew in my yard and one of my trees was half cut down.  By the time I parked around the corner and came back they had the whole think done.  The tree needed to be removed as it was directly under power lines, has invasive roots and is a fast grower.  Wrong tree, wrong place.   The yard seems bigger without it, and there is certainly a lot more sun.

They also removed some branches from the Maple tree.  My neighbour is happy because she is getting a lot more light in her greenhouse.  I am happy because no more large branches are going around the power lines.

Today I have tidied my house (looks soooo much better) and potted up some seedlings (hot peppers, ground cherries, purple basil, and celeriac).  In the bathroom, the sink still needs to be attached to the wall and the water pipes reattached, but at least the sink is where it is supposed to be and not on the floor any more.

And under weird things, there is currently a polar bear suit on my bedroom floor.  When I woke up this morning my loving husband had put the head on the bed facing me.  But I shall get even as I shall be taking photos of him wearing said suit and putting them up on Xanga and facebook. (Note: M is being the mascot for a team doing a run for charity, he doesn't just regularly wear a polar bear suit.)
