  • bits and pieces

    Not any major adventures this week, but lots of little things that have been good.  The crabapples and lilacs are flowering so it is beautiful going for walks (when it is not raining).

    Work has progressed in the bathroom, the tub is caulked, the sink is working.  Still need to paint a patch on the wall, but haven't felt like painting the last few days.  We try and get that finished this weekend.  Also been getting some housework done.  Trying to develop some routines so it is easier for me when I go away for uni.

    Got some more plants delivered to my door today, a couple of ferns, a hardy geranium, a columbine, and an iris.  Will plant them out this weekend.  It is raining quite heavily today.

    Bought a 1TB (1000GB) external hard drive today at Walmart for a very good price.  Seems to be working well so far.  I am in the process of baking up my computer, in particular the movie footage.  M bought a tool chest there which should help him organise his tools that are over his desks.  It looks very nice, with lots of drawers, and cupboards and a detachable tool chest.  His parents send him money for his birthday so we are considering this his present from them.

    There is a flea market tomorrow which will just be the street over from us.  Plan to attend that.  Hopefully they will have plants this time. :)

    I would love a 1TB external harddrive! You should definitely take photos at the flea market. And what about univeristy? Are you going back? Happy Bday to M.

    @heidi_helen -

    The 1TB drive was $125 CAN (+13% tax).  It was on sale and a very good price.  I am editing movie footage at the moment and that just chews through memory, so it will be good for that and backing up my computer.

    well I didn't take photos of the flea market but I will take a photo of the stuff I bought.

    I am going back to uni in September after the summer.  That is when the semester (school year) starts here.  I will have to find an apartment (etc) to live in as it is too far away to travel every day.
