I have had several very pleasant days recently. Been warm (hot even) and have spent some time gardening, shopping, reading, and lazing about outside. Was particularly good the day M wanted to go out plant shopping and did some gardening too! While sitting outside saw all these beautiful butterflies flying over waving tall grasses. I was thinking of waxing lyrically here about it but it just doesn't come out as poetic as what it was in my head when I first saw them.
Have dug and planted some new garden beds at the front of the property. They are especially enjoyable as I can see them when looking out the front door. I even found a eucalyptus plant (a ground creeper not a tree) that I planted there.
M called his dad for fathers day (it's in June in Canada but September in Australia). Found out that his parents are planning to come down to visit in early August. Looking forward to showing them our new house, and extra incentive to get the back room sorted.
Working on the church DVD intensively now. Trying to have something by next Sunday as this will be the last day for our current captains (chaplains, pastors). They are being sent elsewhere, such is the life as a Salvation Army officer. They will be missed.
So plenty to keep me busy, cleaning, decluttering, gardening (getting those vege seedlings out), working on the DVD and looking after C 15 hours a week.
*chuckles* I totally read that wrong. I thought you meant that when it is June in Canada, it is September in Australia. I know their weather is the opposite of ours, but I didn't know the MONTHS were too! And then it hits me... you meant Father's day is in September. Ah.
@LaDamedeShallot - indeed. though sometimes it feels that way, especially as school starts in Jan or Feb rather than September too
